Verbena lilacina
Lilac Verbena
This semi-deciduous, mounding perennial from Baja California has aromatic clusters of lavender flowers that appear at the tips of the stems from spring through fall. It grows 18 inches high and spreads to 2 feet wide to create a low mound. Plant it in sun or partial shade and give it water occasionally.
Wildlife value: Insects, including American Lady and Western Coast Lady butterflies, visit the flowers.
